Introducing 'Money Moves' — Our New Single from the KidCash All-Stars

We made a song. It's about earning, saving, and the three jars. Watch the video on YouTube and stream it everywhere — Spotify, Apple Music, all the rest.

We made a song.

Money Moves — by the KidCash All-Stars — is a single about earning, saving, giving, and the three-jar method that's been the foundation of every kid's first money lesson for forty years.

Where to listen

🎥 YouTube — full music video, live now 🎧 Apple Music (rolling out) 🎵 Spotify (rolling out) 📻 Amazon Music · YouTube Music · Tidal · Pandora — all major streaming platforms 📱 Bookmark it — kids actually listening to a song about money is the entire point

If your streaming app supports DSP-distributed singles, we're there (or will be within the week as the distribution finishes propagating). Search "Money Moves KidCash All-Stars."

Why we made it

The blog is great for parents who read. The newsletter reaches the ones who'll open an email. But the kids — the actual subjects of every parenting-finance article ever written — aren't reading any of it. They're listening to music in the car, on the school bus, in their headphones.

A diverse group of kids of various ages are happily listening to music through headphones, earbuds, and a shared portable speaker while riding a school bus.

So we wrote them a song.

The lyrics walk through the three-jar method (Spend / Save / Give), why every dollar has a job, why the give jar matters even when it's small, and what it feels like to hit a savings goal. It's an earworm, on purpose. If a kid hums a verse on the way to school, the lesson stuck better than any explainer ever could.

Pair it with the method

If you've never run the three-jar system with your kids, our The Three Jars Method post is a 30-year-old framework that still beats every app and budgeting system. Read it, watch the video, and start your kid's first jar this weekend.

What's next

A few things on deck:

Three colorful piggy banks, each labeled with a distinct emoji representing "earn," "save," and "give," sit on a shelf next to a streaming music icon and a video play button.

  • The full album — we've got more songs in the queue. Allowance Day, Save For Something Big, Generous Kid. Coming over the next few months as singles.
  • A podcast (someday) — we keep getting asked. We're not making promises on a date, but a long-form weekly show about raising money-smart kids is on the wishlist. If you'd subscribe, tell us.
  • Lyric video + karaoke version — for classrooms and family movie nights.

How to support

If you like the song:

  • Subscribe to @kidcashapp on YouTube — the bell icon helps us reach more parents
  • Save the song to your kid-friendly playlists on Spotify and Apple Music when they go live
  • Share it with one parent friend who's about to start an allowance system. Best ad we've got.
